Marc Jacobs Midnight in Paris {Collector's Edition}

I was recently strolling through Sephora (btw I haven't really wanted anything from there lately. It's very odd) and I found this beauty.  The Midnight in Paris Collector's Edition is an absolute gem.  I love Marc Jacobs polishes.  They are pigmented and the wear time is great.  This is no exception.  Marc Jacobs was inspired by the Paris sky when creating this shade.  It is a beautiful deep navy blue that is so appropriate for this time of year.

I have been testing this out for five days and I have little chipping just some tip wear.  I use the Sephora Formula X System with all my polishes and I can tell it definitely helps my polishes last longer.

Compared to Chanel Blue Boy(LE), Chanel Blue Rebel(LE), Chanel Magic(LE) & Dior Blue Label

Have you picked this polish up ?? What is your favorite polish at the moment ??

Fall Blush Picks {2014}

Fall is in full swing here in New York.  It has gotten pretty chill here and the leaves are turning beautiful shades of red and orange.  So I thought hey why not share your favorite fall blushes.   These blushes are deeper and more appropriate for the fall and winter time.

Chanel Innocence - This came out with the Fall 2014 collection.  It's a beautiful rosy pink shade.
Burberry Blossom - This is also a rosy pink but has a hint of peach in it.
Bobbi Brown Nectar - This is a true deep pink and looks great on light skin tones.
Nars Sin - This is the ultimate fall blush shade.  Sin has a hint of shimmer in it and is a beautiful purple, plum shade.
Nars Seduction - Seduction is more on the maroon side but has a but of purple in it.  This shade can be pretty intense so use a light hand.

What are your favorite fall/winter blushes??  Do you change what kind of makeup you wear depending on the season??

Chanel Sweet Star Le Vernis

Chanel Sweet Star Le Vernis

Every year Chanel releases a nail polish (or two) for Fashion's Night Out.  I have Blue Boy, Blue Rebel, and Magic from previous FNO's and when I saw Sweet Star I knew it had to be mine.  FNO is no longer held in the United States but many other countries do have one.  This year Sweet Star was released in Australia on FNO (back in Septemeber).  It has just released in the United States and I was on a major hunt for it.  I found mine at Bloomingdale's in Soho but, it is now on the Chanel website.

Chanel Sweet Star Le Vernis

Sweet Star in unlike any polish I own.  It is a duo chrome where in some instances it looks purple and in others it looks gray.  It applies amazingly and lasts for four or so days (I use the Sephora Formula X System).  Two coats is needed because the first coat is a bit streaky but with a second it looks nice and opaque.  I am not quite sure how to explain how amazingly gorgeous this polish truly is.  I have gotten so many compliments wearing it too.

I would say that if you are looking for something unique totally buy this.  I can foresee myself wearing this a lot in the coming months.

What do you think about Chanel Sweet Star ??

My Friday Five #8

Another week has come and gone and I can't believe it is almost November.  Seriously this year has just flew by.  Now onto my favorites this week.

Coco Mademoiselle - I have loved this perfume for years but never took the plunge.  I finally did and so happy about it.  I have always wanted a signature scent and I think this is it.

Tom Ford Spanish Pink - When I first got this lipstick I found it hard to work with my skin tone and dry lips.  But, now I found a great liner (Too Faced) and this lipstick works so well.

Burberry Rosewood Shadow - I have been going for an easy eye look lately and this is it.  It looks great by itself.

Marc Jacobs bookmarc Pouch - I recently took a trip to Bleeker Street (has some of my fav shops) and wandered into Marc Jacobs' store bookmarc.  I found this adorable pouch for my business cards.

Chanel Camelia de Plumes Highlighter - I have fallen in love with this highlighter.  It is so gorgeous and just looks great on the skin.  I am so happy I went and got this!

What are your Friday Five ??

By Teryy Ombre Blackstar Dupe {Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow 5}

A few months back I picked up the By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Misty Rock.  I instantly fell in love with it.   It is definitely on the pricey side ($43).  And I have always been on the look out for a good dupe and I found it!  Kiko recently opened a store in the Queens Center Mall and of course I needed to go and take a peek.  I found this Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in 5.  It is almost an exact dupe for Misty Rock.  And it is a fraction of the cost ($12).  The Kiko stick is very creamy and long lasting.  It hardly creases,  only after eight or so hours of wear.

Do you have a dupe for Misty Rock??

Lorac Mega Pro Palette

I was so excited about this palette releasing.  I am a huge fan of the original Lorac Pro palette and the Lorac Pro 2.  I use them three or four days out of the week.  So of course, when I heard Lorac was releasing a Mega Pro palette ($59) I knew it had to be mine.  Unfortunately it is sold out.  And I don't know if it will be restocked.  But in case it does I want to let you all know that you absolutely need this palette.

There are 32 shadows in all and they are like butter.  They are silky smooth and highly pigmented.  They perform amazingly.  Super blendable and hardly any fall out (just a little on the darker shades).  At the moment I am loving two combos, Lilac all over the lid, Wisteria in the crease, and Stone on the outer third.  Secondly Dusty Rose all over, Orchid in the crease, and Merlot in the outer third.

This palette performs just like the other Lorac Pro palettes.  I can see myself reaching for this daily.  It has so many possible combos.  And the price ($59) can't be beat.  I am seriously in love with this palette and I can't keep my hands off of it!!

Were you able to pick this palette up ??  What do you think ??

Chanel Reve D'Orient Palette

I was at my local Chanel counter the other day and the sales associate showed me this beautiful Reve D'Orient palette($70).  I was blown away by how pretty it was and knew it had to be mine.  I hadn't heard anything about this palette and was so surprised.  I still don't know to much about it other then a lot of stores don't have it yet and that it was used on the Chanel runway in Dubai.   So, if you live in NYC and need to have it, head on over to the Macy's in Flushing, Queens.

Now let's talk about how amazing this palette is.   The shadows are very creamy and smooth.   They have a satin finish.   There is a bit of fall out on the darker shades, but nothing major.   The shadows are very pigmented and easy to work with.  I have been using the gold all over my eye and the maroon in the outer third.  It's a gorgeous look for the season.

I wish I had more information for you guys about this palette.  But once I know more I will update this post !!

UPDATE: Available at Chanel, Macy's, Saks, & Nordstrom

Will you be buying this palette ??  And have you seen it at your local Chanel counter ??

My Friday Five #7

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette  - I am loving this palette so much right now.  The colors are so gorgeous.  My favorite at the moment is Incandescent Electra.

Aesop Parsley Seed Mask - This mask is the best for cleaning out all your pores.  When I'm feeling like I need a good face detox I pull this out.

Guerlain Kiss Kiss Lipstick in Sugar Kiss - Totally in love with this lipstick and the shade.  Guerlain introduced this new lipstick formula recently (review to come tomorrow).  It is creamy and very pigmented.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray - I use this almost everyday or at least every other day.  I use this in second day hair to give it some life.  I am almost done with this bottle and need a back up asap.

Diptyque Pomander - I got this cute baby candle as a gwp from Space NK.  It smells a bit cinnamon-y and a bit spicy.  It just smells like fall.

What are your Friday Five ???

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette

Hourglass recently added this Ambient Lighting Blush palette ($58) to their line.  And I must say that I am so excited.  I first started to delve into Hourglass when their Ambient Lighting Powders came out.  It has quickly become of my favorite brands.  This palette is limited edition so if you fancy it you better jump on it.  Last year when the Ambient Lighting palette was released I didn't pick it up and I was so disappointed that I didn't.  Then it was re-released in spring and I knew it had to be mine.
Anywho, back to the palette.  There are three shades in the palette Luminous Flush (champagne rose), Incandescent Electra (cool peach), and Mood Exposure (soft plum).  Incandescent Electra is exclusive to this palette.  If you aren't familiar with the Ambient Lighting Blushes, they are a blush swirled and baked with an Ambient Lighting Powder.  They have a satin finish and give the skin such an amazing glow.  Since each blush is baked no two look alike.  So you can get one that has more powder then blush.  If you are buying this in store just take a peek.

I have been using this palette for over a week now and I love it.  These blushes perform just like the individual ones.  They are highly pigmented and just give an amazing glow to the cheeks.  My favorite at the moment is Incandescent Electra.  It is such a gorgeous peachy, coral shade.  And we all know how I love a good coral.  Overall I am very pleased I bought this.  I don't own either of the permanent shades in the palette so, this is a great edition to my collection.

Do you own any of the Ambient Lighting Blushes ??  Will you be snatching up this palette ??

Chanel Camelia de Plumes Highlighter

Chanel's Holiday 2014 collection recently hit stores and you know I had to check it out.  I have passed on past highlighters from Chanel and have totally regretted it.  But this holiday I had to snatch this beautiful Camelia de Plumes highlighter ($72) up.  Unfortunately this is only in stores for now.  It is not up on the website yet.  This highlighter is definitely different from anything I have in my collection.  It is more of a silvery white, kind of white gold highlighter.  It is highly pigmented and looks absolutely gorgeous on the skin.  I think this would look really amazing on darker skin tones.  It comes in the usual Chanel packaging with a velvet pouch and a nice brush.  I find this highlighter absolutely gorgeous.  It is so stunning and I am so happy I picked this up.

Compared to Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight (more of a gold highlighter) and Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow (more of a bronze highlighter).

Are you thinking of picking anything up from Chanel's Holiday collection ??  What are your favorite highlighters ??

Dior Massai

I have totally fallen in love with Dior Gel Shine polishes.  When I saw that five new shades came out I knew they had to be mine.  I picked up 853 Massai.  It is a gorgeous deep red shade.  So perfect for this time of year.  It performs just like all my other Dior Gel Shine polishes.  It's opaque in two coats and lasts for five plus days.  This has quickly become my favorite this month.  I have had it on my nails for ten out of the thirteen days this month.

Have you tried any of the Dior Gel Shine polishes ??  What are your favorites ??

Tarte Pin Up Girl Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush Palette

This is the second year Tarte came out with a Holiday Blush palette.  Last year I passed on it and I regret it so much.  So this year I snatched it up as fast as I  could.  I already know that I love, love, love the Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes so there was no second guessing.

There are five shades in this palette and it retails for $42.  This is pretty good since Tarte blushes are $26 each.  And let's be honest who goes through a whole blush ?  I never have and I am no where near hitting pan on any of my blushes.

These wear so well throughout the day.  They do last for twelve hours as they claim.  And the pigmentation is great.  The blushes feel buttery smooth and glide on your face.  I am also really pleased with the color selection.  There is a lighter shade and a darker shade and a few brights.  A little something for all the seasons.

I am really enjoying this palette and can foresee using this everyday for quite some time.

Have you picked this palette up ?? What do you think ??
