Top 14 of 2014

Happy 2015!!! I can't believe another year has come and gone.  But 2014 was pretty good to me.  I was introduced to lots of new beauty products and I rounded up my top favs for you guys.

Bioderma - I am down the end of my bottle and I keep telling myself I don't need a new bottle.  Yeah ok, Amazon Prime to the rescue.  This is my holy grail of makeup removers.  It has never met a match it couldn't handle.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Mask - I don't know what I would ever do without this.  This is great for people with very dry or combo skin.  It isn't a mask you leave on for 10 mins and then wash off.  This is more of a very thick moisturizer that you lather on at night and let sink into your face.  When you wake up in the morning your face is hydrated.  I love this for the winter months.

Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting Foundation - I have never had such a love for a foundation before. I discovered this back in August and I have had a love affair with it ever since.  It lasts all day and has a medium coverage.  It has a satin finish and doesn't need to be powdered.  I have been searching for a foundation like this for years and I am so happy to have found it!

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer - The consistency of this is amazing.  It is very liquidy but at the same time it isn't runny.  I am able to use this as my under eye concealer and even at times I use this all over my face and just set with a powder.

Chanel Les Beiges Powder - Best setting powder!!  I love to use a light dusting of this after my foundation.  It helps set my foundation but, doesn't make me look matte.

Becca Blush in Flowerchild - I enjoy a good matte blush but, this blush came along and blew them out of the water.  It is the perfect pinky, coral shade that gives you a nice flush and has a beautiful satin finish.

MAC Definitely Defined - Unfortunately this was a limited edition product but, I use it so much I had to include it.  It is such a beautiful highlighter.  I have very pale skin and like a highlighter that has more of a champagne tone to it.  I think it complements me nicely.  And it isn't too shimmery.  I hate when a highlighter makes you look like a glitter ball.

Anastasia Brow Whiz - I have gone through three of these in one year.  This stuff is like auhhh mazzz balls.  It is so precise and taupe is the perfect shade for me.

Lorac Pro Palette - If I lost every other palette and only had this one that would be fine with me.  The shadows are so creamy and pigmented.  I grab for this palette at least twice a week.

By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Misty Rock - Let me start off my saying I love the Ombre Blackstars in general but, Misty Rock is such an amazing shade.  It is a dusty mauve color that looks s amazing on so many eye colors.  And it is a one and done kind of product.  I can use this all over the eye, buff it out, and I am done.  Plus the lasting power is amazing and no creasing.

Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara - This is my mascara.  It has fiber bristles and just gives you great looking lashes.  It gives them volume and a bit of length.  I have gone through two in the past year and don't know if I could ever go without it.

Malin + Goetz Lip Balm - This came in one of my Glossy Box's this year and I was blown away by how good it was.  It has a thicker texture then most lip balms and really hydrates my lips.  It also lasts longer then most.  It isn't too sticky either.

Sephora Formula X System - I have never been religious to a base and top coat before but these have now become my holy grails.  They help my polish last so much longer.  I get at least 5 days out of my manicures.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray - My hair has no volume whatsoever.  This stuff gives my fluffy hair such texture and volume it's so amazing.  I love to use this on my hair after I dry it and I also love to use it on my second day hair.  I love it more then dry shampoo.  And it smells amazing.

What are your favorites from 2014 ??

My Friday Five #7

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette  - I am loving this palette so much right now.  The colors are so gorgeous.  My favorite at the moment is Incandescent Electra.

Aesop Parsley Seed Mask - This mask is the best for cleaning out all your pores.  When I'm feeling like I need a good face detox I pull this out.

Guerlain Kiss Kiss Lipstick in Sugar Kiss - Totally in love with this lipstick and the shade.  Guerlain introduced this new lipstick formula recently (review to come tomorrow).  It is creamy and very pigmented.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray - I use this almost everyday or at least every other day.  I use this in second day hair to give it some life.  I am almost done with this bottle and need a back up asap.

Diptyque Pomander - I got this cute baby candle as a gwp from Space NK.  It smells a bit cinnamon-y and a bit spicy.  It just smells like fall.

What are your Friday Five ???

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray

I have always been a girl who washes her hair everyday.  I was also a girl with oily hair growing up.  I couldn't stand not washing it.  But, I started to dye it and my hair got less oily and more manageable.  So, I started to wash it every other day but, I still needed something for that second day hair.  I tried loads of dry shampoos and nothing seemed to do it for me.  I hated how some were sticky or made my hair feel nasty.  Then Youtube introduced me to Oribe's Dry Texturizing Spray and it has bee a god send.  Let me start off by saying it isn't a dry shampoo.  That's probably why I love it so much.  It gets rid of the oils and gives my hair some body.  I also have pretty flat hair and I actually love to use this even on days I wash my hair.  I spray some at the roots and just use my fingers to juzz it up.  And the best I don't even feel the product in my hair.  It doesn't weigh it down and it smells good too.  If you are having a hard time using dry shampoos this might be the route for you!

Have you tried this spray ?? What do you think ??

This is my everyday desk setup!  I am very big on keeping this area nice and organized.  This might be the only area in my room that I keep clean!!  Anywho, anyone who is into makeup should own Muji Acrylic Drawers.  They are the best.  I like to keep my go to, everyday makeup in one set and my lipgloss' in another.  I am thinking about changing up my furniture soon and getting the Alex drawers from Ikea.  I know a lot of beauty bloggers own them and love them.  I hoping to do that soon so I can then film a Makeup Collection for all of you.  My collection has definitely grown since the last one I made about a year ago!

What do you keep on your desk??  And do you have the Alex drawers??  If so what do you think of them ??

Haul: High Ends Bits and Bops !

So I have recently picked up some bits and bops (yes, i said bits and bops) from Nordstroms, Saks, and Neimans.   I had gotten a gift card to Neimans since I had so many points on my debit card and went a little crazy!  Then I went to Saks and picked up one or two things and then of course I ordered a few things from Norstroms.

I have wanted to try these two sprays from Oribe for such a long time!  I love dry shampoo so of course I had to try the Dry Texturizing Spray and lately I have been loving to curl my hair so I wanted to try the Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray to give my curls a bit my texture.  I have not been able to play with them yet so a review to come!

I have longed to try a Diptyque Candle!  And since the holiday packaging is just so chic I had to pick one up!  I guess they were out of the scent I had wanted so they sent this Orange Chai one instead.  It smells amazing and I can't wait to burn it!

Oh Tom Ford!!! You have done it again!  You have all witnessed my obsession grow and grow with Tom Ford, and now I am in deep!  This Cheek Brush is amazing!!  It is as soft as a babies bottom and just so luxurious!  I now need every Tom Ford Brush !

Over the years I have heard such great things about Laura Mercier's hand creams, so when I saw this sampler on Nordstrom.com I had to pick it up!  This would be a great stocking stuffer for family and friends!!

I love Chanel nail polish so I had to pick this color Magic up!  It came out during this years FNO along with another color called Cosmic.  Cosmic seems to be sold out everywhere!  I can't find it.  The Beauty Look Book did a great post on them and I had to have after seeing it!

The last thing I picked up was the Burberry Taupe eyeshadow.  I only have one Burberry eyeshadow and I love it so I knew I had to pick up more.  I have only swatched this and I have already fallen in love!  I can't wait to use this in an eye look!

What bits and bops have you picked up lately ??
