Tom Ford Cheek Brush Review !

I bought this Tom Ford Cheek Brush back in December after hearing so many people rave about it!  At the time I thought I had found my holy grail blush brush from Bobbi Brown but, I was wrong.  I still LOVE my Bobbi Brown but, there is just something about the Tom Ford brush.  It is the right size, not too short or too tall and you use the top of the bristles to apply the blush.  It makes even the less pigmented blushes pigmented.  I would not suggest using this on a very pigmented blush like Burberry's Hydrangea Pink.  I did once and well lets just say I looked a bit clownish.  I had a lot of blending to do.  I also love white hairs on a blush brush, it always looks so pretty with a bit of pink on it.  This brush is definitely on the expensive side ($78) and I would never say that you need to buy this but, if you are a makeup fanatic like myself or want to treat yourself I would say go for it.  I do not regret buying this at all.  I reach for it pretty much every day.  It gives me the best swipe of color on the cheeks.  The bristles do not shed from what I have seen and it is a breeze to clean.  I do put a brush guard on it after cleaning so it goes back to original form.  I would have to say this brush is amazing quality and you get what you pay for.  I would totally buy another Tom Ford brush.  If anyone has any suggestions on which one I should buy next please do tell!

Dior Trianon Spring 2014 !

dior spring 2014 collection

If you haven't been to a makeup counter this year then you are missing out!  Almost all of the spring collections have been released and they are all so beautiful!!  Dior released six new polishes, two new glosses and a slew of other gorgeous pieces.  I was lucky enough to pick up two of the nail polishes and a lip gloss.  I may go back and get the blush because it looks so amazing.

My picks

bouquet 457

Bouquet is a pretty pastel coral with a white base.  It goes on a bit streaky at first but, once you build up two or three coats it turns opaque.  I did use three coats, which in my book is a little much.  It is a beautiful color and would look great with a tan.

bloom 777

Bloom was very easy to work with.  I only needed two coats for it to be opaque and it was not streaky. This color would look amazing on any skin color.

exquise 772

I love Dior Addict Glosses and knew I had to get this one in Exquise 772.  I love a nice sheer pink gloss.  I opted for this one over the coral one since I picked up the glosses from the Chanel collection.  These glosses are not sticky and come with a brush applicator rather then a doe foot applicator.

Chanel 179 Murmure & 178 Sonate Glossimer {Spring 2014}

If you know me then you know how much I love lipgloss, especially coral lipgloss!  I was so excited when I saw the Chanel had released these glossimers, 178 Sonate and 179 Murmure, this spring.  Sonate is a darker more reddish coral that is a bit more pigmented on the lips.  And Murmure is a light pinkish coral.  It gives a nice sheen to the lips, but is not very pigmented.  They are both nice and creamy and free of glitter.  I love a nice matte gloss.  I am not one for glitter.  These glossimers are nor very sticky and last a good hour or so.  If you are a gloss girl I would definitely run and pick these up.  They are right aound $30, but I find them worth it!

Chanel Tapage 605 & Charivari 603 Le Vernis {Spring 2014}

This Spring Chanel has come out with two gorgeous new nail colors, 605 Tapage and 603 Charivari.  And I jumped on the chance of owning them.  They are both creamy, opaque colors that need at max two coats.  I really love how creamy and bright Tapage is.  It has more of a white undertone than Charivari.  Charivari is a more muted purple with a grey undertone.  They both are very unique to my collection.

 Overall I would say both are very pretty, but I have a feeling Tapage might be my go to spring shade.  Charivari is nice, but more of a fall, wintery shade.  If you feel the need to get either I would go for Tapage.  It is opaque in one coat, but you can use two and it is just so attractive on the nails.  The both can be found at Macy's, Chanel, Nordstrom, Neimans, and Bloomingdale's.

What shade would you pick up from the collection ??

Haul: High Ends Bits and Bops !

So I have recently picked up some bits and bops (yes, i said bits and bops) from Nordstroms, Saks, and Neimans.   I had gotten a gift card to Neimans since I had so many points on my debit card and went a little crazy!  Then I went to Saks and picked up one or two things and then of course I ordered a few things from Norstroms.

I have wanted to try these two sprays from Oribe for such a long time!  I love dry shampoo so of course I had to try the Dry Texturizing Spray and lately I have been loving to curl my hair so I wanted to try the Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray to give my curls a bit my texture.  I have not been able to play with them yet so a review to come!

I have longed to try a Diptyque Candle!  And since the holiday packaging is just so chic I had to pick one up!  I guess they were out of the scent I had wanted so they sent this Orange Chai one instead.  It smells amazing and I can't wait to burn it!

Oh Tom Ford!!! You have done it again!  You have all witnessed my obsession grow and grow with Tom Ford, and now I am in deep!  This Cheek Brush is amazing!!  It is as soft as a babies bottom and just so luxurious!  I now need every Tom Ford Brush !

Over the years I have heard such great things about Laura Mercier's hand creams, so when I saw this sampler on Nordstrom.com I had to pick it up!  This would be a great stocking stuffer for family and friends!!

I love Chanel nail polish so I had to pick this color Magic up!  It came out during this years FNO along with another color called Cosmic.  Cosmic seems to be sold out everywhere!  I can't find it.  The Beauty Look Book did a great post on them and I had to have after seeing it!

The last thing I picked up was the Burberry Taupe eyeshadow.  I only have one Burberry eyeshadow and I love it so I knew I had to pick up more.  I have only swatched this and I have already fallen in love!  I can't wait to use this in an eye look!

What bits and bops have you picked up lately ??

New Burberry Goodies !!

So, I have been a bit obsessed with Burberry lately!  They have a new holiday collection with this gold packaging and it is to die for!!  I could not resist!  I picked up the Lip Mist in Trench Kiss and the Lip Glow also in Trench Kiss.  Unfortunately my Lip Glow is nowhere to be found.  I hop it pops up soon!

I am not one for a nude lip, but I couldn't resist this packaging!  I do love this shade though.  I have never owned a Burberry Lip Mist before so I was very excited to get it.  It goes on so smooth and buttery.  It lasts for at least an hour or so, and I have to say I do love this shade.  It is nice and sheer, and almost looks like a gloss!

So then I was in Saks the other day and just happened to walk past the Burberry counter and the lady working told me to come sit down and she would do my makeup.  So I said sure why not.  Well 20 minutes later I walked out with a new foundation and a new base.  I picked up the Sheer Foundation in No. 1 Trench and the Fresh Glow in No. 2 Golden Radiance.  OMG this combo is just like the most amazing thing ever!! I was so amazed on how well it looked on my dry skin and how well it held up throughout the day.  Lets just say I am hooked!!  It doesn't cling to my dry patches and truly gives me a nice dewy look.

What are your favorite Burberry products ??

I just placed an order from Nordstrom's and Neiman's .. So a nice haul to come soon!

Tom Ford Cognac Sable !

If you remember a little while back I showed you the She Wolf palette I picked up from Tom Ford.  Well the same time I also picked up one of his quads, Cognac Sable.  It is just so gorgeous!  I can't help but stare at it every time I go to use it.  The shadows look great with my blue eyes and feel so luxurious.   Now that I have started my Tom Ford love affair I am not sure I can stop!

 Please let me know what other Tom Ford products I need to pick up !
