Fall is officially here so you know what that means, dark nails!  I love every deep dark, vampy nail color.  So I went through my collection and chose seven shades I will be wearing all fall and winter.

Deborah Lippmann Blue Orchid !

I absolutely fell head over heels in love with this color. I first saw Lipstick with Some Sunshine wearing this Deborah Lippmanm polish in Blue Orchid and thought that it was a prettty color.  Then when I walked into Sephora I gravitated towards it.  It is so different then anything in my collection too.  It is a light pastel blue that is a true blue.  Some other shades I have pull more purple or more white.  It is opaque in one coat but, I like to use two.

I really think this shade is great for spring and summer.  It would look great on all skintones too.

What is your favorite blue shade ??

YSL BLEUS LUMIERE La Laque {Bleu Celadon}

YSL's Summer 2014 Collection, Blue Lumiere, was inspired by Yves Saint Laurent's fascination with the blue sea.  Two new polishes came out with this collection, Bleu Celadon and Bleu Cyclades.  Bleu Celadon was just calling my name so I had to pick it up.  It is a beautiful light blue shade that pulls a bit green.  I absolutely love a good light blue polish and it is actually much different then anything in my collection.  I used two light coats of polish and topped it off with Seche Vite.  It lasted about 4 days with minimal chipping.  I really enjoy YSL polish and the brush.  The brush is a bit fatter then Essie but, thinner then Dior.  It makes it very easy to apply.

Compared to Essie Mint Candy Apple, Where's My Chauffeur, and In the Cabana.

As you can see, Bleu Celadon is more lighter and has more blue in it.

I picked this up at my local Bloomingdales, but you can also find it on yslbeautyus.com, Nordstrom,  and Saks

What is your favorite color of nail polish ??  Do you own any YSL ??

Tom Ford Spring 2014 Nail Polishes !

tom ford spring 2014

Well, this was supposed to go up yesterday but, my poor manager fell down the stairs at work and I spent most of my day in the ER with her.  So, by the time I got home I was exhausted!  Anywho, now onto why we are all here.  Tom Ford released four gorgeous, limited edition nail polishes with his spring collection.  And when I say gorgeous, I mean gorgeous.  I bought all four shades, Sugar Dune, Incandescent, Coral Beach, and Indiscretion.  By far Sugar Dune has been my favorite.  And the lasting power on these is great!  I had Sugar Dune on for about five days with only light chipping to the tips on my nails.  To me that is a big A+.

Sugar Dune is a nice creamy nude color.  I don't really have anything similar in my collection other then Essie Topless & Barefoot.  And Sugar Dune pulls more tan and Topless & Barefoot pulls more beige.  Only two coats are needed but, you can add a third if you feel the need too.

Incandescent is a beautiful rose gold shade.  This is my second favorite of the bunch.  I don't own anything even remotely similar and to be honest you really only need one coat of this polish.

Coral Beach is actually my least favorite of the four.  You need about three coats to be opaque and it can be quite streaky.  It is more of a orange coral then a peach coral which is a bit different.  I think this would look great on tan skin.

Indiscretion is a lovely sheer pinky red.  It applies much nicer then Coral Beach does and is different then what I have in my collection.  I think this would look great on any skin tone.

What I love most about this collection is how different each color is and how I don;t have dupes in my collection for them!

What is your favorite color ??

Nude Nails {Marc Jacobs & YSL}

I have a thing for nudes.  I am always trying to find the perfect one, so I can achieve the mannequin hand effect.  I still haven't found the one, but I did come close with these two.  These are both my first Marc Jacobs and YSL nail polishes and I have to say I'm very pleased.  I will definitely be picking more up of both.  They are both nice and creamy and not streaky.  Opaque in one coat, but definitely need two coats to look perfect.  The Marc Jacobs has a smaller brush unlike the YSL.  The YSL brush is larger like OPI, and covers more nail space.  Some don't like this, but I happen to not mind at all.

Now on to some exciting new!! Urban Decay will be releasing a new Naked palette just in time for Christmas.

This palette has more rosy hues and caters more towards people who like warm toned eyeshadows.  I personally think it looks great, but I will try to hold off getting this for a little.  I do have Naked 1 and 2, and hardly use them.  But, I can't help but go with the crowd, so who knows maybe I will have it by Christmas.

What are your thoughts on the Naked 3?  Is it a yay or nay?

Also a VIB sale post will be coming soon.  I did a little damage.  Not as much as I thought, but I still got a good amount of stuff.

Chanel Holiday 2013 {ACCENT & ROUGE RUBIS}

All the holiday collections are coming out and I am so excited!!  I love this time of year.  I was most excited by the Chanel Holiday Collection!  I was lusting over the blush and nail polish the most.  I am still debating on whether to get the eye palette or not.  I have heard it is buttery smooth, so I might just have to check it out.
Now as for the blush, Joues Contraste in 84 Accen!  I love it!!!  It goes on amazingly smooth, and isn't powdery or hard to work with.  I don't use a bronzer when wearing this.  And to be honest I don't mind the shimmer.  I am usually one to like a matte blush, but this one has gotten to me.  And the nail polish, 677 Rouge Rubis, is also amazing.  It is a great red and did not chip much.  I know that Chanel polishes are hit and miss.  Some apply great and don't chip and others, well let's just say they go back to the Chanel counter.

Oh Hey Fall ! {Nail Edition}

So fall is just around the corner!  In New York though it seems like we will never get there.  I have been drenched in sweat for the past week and I am not a happy camper!  I miss my 75 degree weather! Baby come back... anyone else love those Swiffer commercials?  Anyway, as I was saying fall is a coming and I love it!  I love fall fashion; sweaters, scarves, dark nails, and the smell of cinnamon and pumpkin.  I wanted to start a Fall series that included fashion, nails, makeup, and maybe some apple or pumpkin picking!  So today we start with the nails.  All my friends know I have a mini salon in my room.  You have a color in mind and I probably have it.  So I weeded through my collection and picked ten great colors for this fall.

Zoya Paris - Essie Carry On - Chanel Taboo - Essie No More Film - Revlon Midnight

Chanel Blue Rebel - Dior Blue Label - Butter London Bossy Boots - Zoya Envy - Revlon Stiletto

I used 2 coats of each polish.  Most were opaque in one.  I just absolutely love these colors.  It is funny because I love to wear color in my clothes, but I love my dark nails!

What are your favorite polishes for the fall?
