Spring Nail Picks !

Spring is upon us and I thought I'd share my spring nail picks with you guys!  I love a great pastel nail during this time of year so I picked my favorite and prettiest pastels I own.
First up is Tom Ford Sugar Dune.  This came out in his spring collection and is easily my favorite nude.  It is so gorge!  Next is Dior Bouquet which is a beautiful coral.  My favoritest (oh yes I know not a word) is YSL Rose Scabiosa.  It is a beautiful rosy purple color and looks great on the fingers or toes.  Jo-Mina is such an amazing purple shade that is like bam in your face.  My most recent pick up is Blue Orchid from Deborah Lippmann.  She just came out with new spring shades and this light blue was calling my name.  And lastly is this mint green from Butter London.  I like to apply two coats and if necessary a third.  These all last at least three or four days with minimal chipping.

What are your favorite spring shades ??

Tom Ford Spring 2014 Nail Polishes !

tom ford spring 2014

Well, this was supposed to go up yesterday but, my poor manager fell down the stairs at work and I spent most of my day in the ER with her.  So, by the time I got home I was exhausted!  Anywho, now onto why we are all here.  Tom Ford released four gorgeous, limited edition nail polishes with his spring collection.  And when I say gorgeous, I mean gorgeous.  I bought all four shades, Sugar Dune, Incandescent, Coral Beach, and Indiscretion.  By far Sugar Dune has been my favorite.  And the lasting power on these is great!  I had Sugar Dune on for about five days with only light chipping to the tips on my nails.  To me that is a big A+.

Sugar Dune is a nice creamy nude color.  I don't really have anything similar in my collection other then Essie Topless & Barefoot.  And Sugar Dune pulls more tan and Topless & Barefoot pulls more beige.  Only two coats are needed but, you can add a third if you feel the need too.

Incandescent is a beautiful rose gold shade.  This is my second favorite of the bunch.  I don't own anything even remotely similar and to be honest you really only need one coat of this polish.

Coral Beach is actually my least favorite of the four.  You need about three coats to be opaque and it can be quite streaky.  It is more of a orange coral then a peach coral which is a bit different.  I think this would look great on tan skin.

Indiscretion is a lovely sheer pinky red.  It applies much nicer then Coral Beach does and is different then what I have in my collection.  I think this would look great on any skin tone.

What I love most about this collection is how different each color is and how I don;t have dupes in my collection for them!

What is your favorite color ??

Tom Ford Spring 2014 Overview !

Tom Ford finally came out with their Spring 2014 collection!  This was the most anticipated collection of the season, in my opinion anyway!  Four new nail polishes and eight new lip color sheers were released and all are limited edition.  The lip sheers are back in the white packaging and are a bit slimmer then the regular lipsticks.  I bought mine of the Nordstrom website and I hear they are hitting stores now.  Unfortunately with this crazy weather I haven't been able to get to a department store.  I have been doing all my shopping online.  I was able to pick up all the nail polishes and three of the lip sheers.  I am so pleased with my picks and I will be showing you all what I purchased this week!
Incandescent - Indiscretion - Coral Beach - Sugar Dune

Pink Dune - Paradiso - Bittersweet - Sweet Spot
Incorrigible - Summer Fling - In the Buff - Firecracker

Will you get anything from the Tom Ford Spring 2014 collection ?? And I have sad news IMATS New York tickets for sold out!!  I am so upset!  I was going to buy my tickets this week.  If you know anyone selling theirs please, please, please let me know.
