Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector

Clarins recently released three new Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector ($25) shades.  I scooped one up in 10 Pink.  I am no newbie to the lip perfectors.  Back in the day it was my go to.  They smell amazing, aka my weakness, and they give the perfect amount of tint to your lips.  These new shades are no different.  The moment I put it on my lips I was taken back to my high school years.  And I love the fact that it has shea butter and wild mango.  After wearing the lip perfectors, my lips alwasy feel super hydrated.  And can we talk about the packaging.  How cute are the flowers.  The Pink shade I got is more of a coral pink then a true pink.  Which of course I am always happy with.  If you are looking for a lightweight summer lippie I would totally say pick one of these up.

Have you ever tried the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors ??  What is your current go to lip product this summer??

Nude for Days

I just emptied my bag and what do I find 7 lip products in almost the same color, nude. If any of you have stuck around for awhile you know I am not a nude girl but, recently I have fallen in love with a good nude. And I believe it's all about the lip liner. My top faves are Rimmel London's East End Snob, NYX's Natural, and Charlotte Tilbury's Lip Cheat in Pilow Talk. A good base is essential. On top I've been using the new Bite Beauty lipstick in Sorbert, or Maybelline's Vivid Matte Liquid lipstick in Nude Flush, or Clarins' Petal Pink. And last but not least you need the perfect gloss to top it all off. I love Dior's Lip Polish. It has a very light pink tint and works well with any nude or pinkish lip.

What are your favorite nudes to wear ??

Travel Skincare

I am back from vacation... womp, womp.  But it is what it is.  So before unpacking I thought I would show you guys what I brought for skincare.  I was pretty minimalistic since I wanted to mainly focus on using the Malin + Goetz items (review coming next week).   I love to bring along deluxe sized samples when traveling.  It is the perfect time to try them out.
I hate not knowing what brand of haircare a hotel uses so I always bring my own.  This trip I used the Malin + Goetz Peppermint Shampoo and Cilantro Conditioner.  Absolutely love!  I also used the Malin + Goetz Grapefruit Cleanser.  It did the job but, I wasn't really impressed.  For moisturizer I brought two the Malin + Goetz  Vitamin E moisturizer and the Caudalie La Creme.  I used La Creme was so moisturizing.  I kinda feel in love with it.  And of course to take my makeup off I brought along the Clarins Gentle Eye Makeup Remover.  Love this to take my eye makeup off.  It isn't too oily which is also amazing.

Will you be traveling this summer ??  If so what do you want to bring with you ??

May Favorites

May has come and gone and June is almost upon us.  It is crazy how fast this year is going.  Another month and it'll be my birthday and in a month and half my blog will turn 1!!  I really can't believe that.  This month I have been loving a lot of new products that I have picked up.

But, first let me tell you about an old fav that I'm going to have to restock pretty soon.  The Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla.  I have been using this to death lately.  I have been going the no makeup, makeup route lately and I use this just on my redness and few acne scars.  And then on top I dust my La Mer powder in Creme.  This stuff is amazing!! I ordered this within the past month or so and it has become a staple.  I use it to set my makeup and to give my face a little bit of coverage.  I have been using a Hakuhodo B002 with this powder.  It is one of the softest brushes I own and is so easy to use with the La Mer.  When I need more coverage, say if I am going out to dinner, I have been using my Chantecaille Just Skin in Vanilla.  This is a tinted moisturizer that gives great coverage.  It evens out my skin tone so well and leaves a nice dewy look.  And for some dimension I have been mixing in the Clarin's Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base in 01 Rose.  This gives my skin a nice glow.  It isn't the best smelling but, once you mix it with your foundation the smell goes away.
I have embraced my paleness and really haven't been using bronzer lately but, I have been using the Tom Ford blush in Flush.  This gives me such a nice flush and really makes me look awake.  It is slightly shimmery but, you couldn't tell unless you were inches away from my face.  And for highlight I have been using Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight.  This is such a cult favorite and I totally understand why.  It just makes my face glow.  To put candlelight on I have been using the Hakuhodo B5521.  This brush is great for highlight.  It is tapered and makes it extra easy to put highlight on my cheek bones and run down my nose.  For eyes I have been love, love, loving my Armani Eyes to Kill in 9.  It is a beautiful champagne, gold color.  I have been wearing this all over my eyes and popping Naked into the crease.  For mascara I have been experimenting with Chanel's Le Volume de Chanel.  I have a love/hate relationship with this.  Sometimes I love the way it looks and sometimes it is just to gloopy.  I think it needs to dry out a little bit more and I will truly love this.  And lastly my Chanel Eastern Lights has been a staple.  I think this great on so many different skin tones and just looks so crisp and clean.

What are your May favorites ??

Bronzer-licious !

Anyone else have a sick obsession for bronzers?  I never feel like I have the shade some look to light, others too dark, or even to orange.  As we all know I am ghostly pale very close to pasty, and as it progresses to winter I get worse.  So every now and then I like to look a bit human and bronze myself up.  I sometimes go for the sunkissed look or sometimes I go for a more contoured look.  I have amassed these 7 bronzer to do the trick for me.  3 can be used to look sun kissed, 3 for contouring, and 1 can go either way.

Love Clarins bronzers!  They always look so chic and cute.  This one is the lightest in my bunch.  I go to this on a normal day to day basis to just make myself look like I've seen the sun in the last year or so. I normally use a MAC 129 or Bobbi Brown Bronzer brush to apply this.  Now this is no longer available, but there is something very similar and would probably do the same trick.

Oh Dior!  As you can see I love a bronzer with some pink in it!  This is very similar to the Clarins one, but just a bit darker.  I use it in the same manner as the Clarins and with the same brushes.  This was more of a on the whim, I feel like I need something luxurious purchase.  I don't regret it, but does one need so many of the same, of course you do!

One day I was watching Youtube, what day aren't you watching Youtube Gina, and Nicole Guerriero was talking about this bronzer and it looked like a perfect shade for me and it is!  I was always a bit scared the Chocolate Soleil would be a bit dark for me, but this one looked right on the money!  And it is right on the money.  Primed and Poreless is a great shade for us pale/fair skinned girls.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer! As I said before I always thought this would be a bit dark for me, but I was wrong.  I picked this up at Sephora in one of those really cute deluxe sample packages they keep at checkout.  I can use this, lightly, as an all over bronzer or as a contour shade.  I like to us a big fluffy brush like the Sephora #40 Pro Flawless Powder Brush.

Clarins - Dior - Too Faced P&P - Too Faced Soleil

I picked Nars Laguna up a long time ago and hated it, and i mean HATED it.  That was also before I had proper brushes or was really into makeup.  So on a recommendation from Ellejay10.  She is a fellow pale girl and said she loved this.  So I had to give it another try.  And I must say I no longer hate.  This is great for contouring.  I normally use the Real Techniques Contour Brush with this.

I have had this Bobbi Brown bronzer in my arsenal for a while now.  It was on of the first high end bronzers I bought and used for contouring.  This light tan color is so gorgeous to contour with, especially during the summer.  I find that it isn't too orange on my skin even though it looks a little orange in the pan.  As you can tell I love me a matte bronzer and I think this is my favorite out of all the ones I have.

Have I said I love Clarins bronzers?  To be honest I loved the packaging and design of this so much I had to get it.  This came out this summer with the Splendours Collection and I knew it would be a bit dark for a regular all over, sunkissed bronzer, but I was ok with that.  It is just so gorgeous, I could not resist.

Too Faced Soleil - NARS - Bobbi Brown - Clarins

Are you a pasty white girl like myself?  If you let me know what some of your favorite bronzers are, and even if you aren't let me know!!

If My Face is Not Melting...

It can be so hot here that sometimes I don't feel like wearing makeup.  But on the days I do muster up some energy to put it on this would be my go to face.

YSL Touche Eclat Foundation - Love this!! It is a medium coverage foundation which is perfect for the summer.  Plus it doesn't stick my dry patches!  It comes in a great range of colors and lasts through the work day.  I truly love this and reach for it often.

Clarins Splendours Summer Bronzing Compact - I have to say the packaging and design is what drew me to this bronzer!  I have to say Clarins truly has some great designs for their bronzers.  I love just lightly dusting this on my face with a big fluffy brush.  It makes me look sun kissed.

Dior Cheek Creme in Pareo - This is the best creme blush in my opinion.  It is more like a creme to powder, but it is not too powdery.  It gives me the perfect flush and lasts at least half the day.

Chanel Les 4 Ombres in Raffinement  - I love love love Chanel makeup.  It makes me feel so glamourous.  There quads though can be hit or miss.  This one though is a huge hit.  It has beautiful, rich brown shades that make my blue eyes pop.

Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara  - This makes my lashes look like I have falsies on!  And it does not flake or smudge!  That is a huge plus in my book.  It also layers well with other mascaras.

Givenchy Le Rouge in Croisiere Coral  - This is hands down my lipstick for the summer!  I am truly not a huge lipstick person (funny cause I have at least 100 of them) but, I love this lipstick.  The formulation is moisturizing and the packaging is so sleek.

What is your go to summer face???  In other news I became a VIB Rouge today at Sephora.  If you know what that is, then you know it means I spend way to much of my pay check there.  Anywho, I will show you what I picked up soon.  I need to test them out first, so I can let you know how good they are.  But I am thinking I will be heading back for more shades!
