Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette !

Back during the holiday period Hourglass came out with this gorgeous Ambient Lighting Palette.  Inside sat three powders, Dim, Incandescent (LE), and Radiant.  I, of course, passed.  Why?  Who the hell knows!  But ever since I have been so upset that I passed on buying this.  So, when I found out that Hourglass had re-released this palette I jumped on it.

Now let's talk about how amazing this palette is.  These powders are so finely milled and go on the face like butta (butter said with a thick New York accent).  These ambient powders are used more for finishing off your look rather then setting your foundation.  They have this special technology that filters out harsh lighting and makes you look more amazing then you already are.  They give the skin a beautiful glow.

I personally have a different way of using all the powders.  For Dim I like to lightly dust it all over my face.  Incandescent I like to use as a highlight.  I put this on the bridge of my nose, my cupids bow, and the high points of my cheeks.  It gives a lit from within sort of glow.  And lastly I like to use Radiant more as a bronzer.  I am pretty fair, some might call me pasty, so this is dark enough for me to use as an all over bronzer.

Overall I am so happy that I finally got my hands on this palette.  I pretty much reach for it daily.  And it is so compact that it will be great for traveling.  This retails for $58 while a regular Ambient Lighting Powder retails for $45.  You can find this palette at Hourglasscosmetics.com or Sephora.

Have you tried this palette or any of the Ambient Lighting Powders ??  What do you think ??

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush {Radiant Magenta}

Well I am so excited to have this blush in my possession.  I am a huge fan of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders.  I use Diffused everyday as my finishing powder and to set my under eye concealer.  So, when I heard about the Ambient Lighting Blushes my heart skipped a beat.  There is such a great shade range, six in all.  They range from a light pink to a deep berryish color.  They are $35 a pop for .15 oz.  The powders are $45 each for .35 oz.  So you do get a better buy for the powder but, if you think about it you use the powder on more surface area then the blush.  I myself picked up Radiant Magenta.  Out of all the shades this looked the most appealing to me.  I love a nice pink color on my cheeks to give me a natural looking flush and this does just the job.  Since each of these is baked the veining on each one is different.  Some might have more Ambient Powder running through then Ambient Blush.  Luckily I think I got a good mixture.  I am so in love with the beautiful sheen it has that I totally cannot wait to get my hands on a few more!!  You can find them at Sephora, Space NK, or the Hourglass website.

Do you own any of the Ambient Powders or Blushes ??  How do you like them ??

Current Favorites {NOV. 2013}

I can't believe the year has come and almost gone already!!  It seems like just yesterday I was celebrating New Year's with the boyfriend.  Anywho, today I wanted to share some of my current favorites.  These are items I have been using on the daily and I LOVE!!!!

Diorskin BB Nude in Light - Love!!  I have been using this BB Cream for a while now and I just fall more in love with it with every use!  It matches me so well and has great coverage you can build up.

MUFE HD Primer - This is a recent favorite.  I have been very loyal to my Porefessional primer for so long, but in the winter I get so dry the Porefessional doesn't help me out one bit.  So, I was on the hunt for the perfect liquid primer and I found it.  It truly helps my foundation last all day long and I kind of really like the smell of it!

Urban Decay B6 Spray - I got this mini sample recently and have been using it almost everyday.  It helps my face stay moisturized and I feel like my skin has been looking pretty good.  This spray has vitamins in it that help nourish the skin.

Dior Creme de Rose Balm - AMAZBALLS!!! This stuff is the bombdiggity!  I use this everyday and my lips look great!  I also love the rose smell.  This really helps my dry, chapped lips stay moisturized.

Hourglass Ambient Powder in Diffused - I am kind of disappointed I missed out on the Limited Edition palette, but it's ok, I guess.  I have been using this powder to set my concealer and highlight the center of my face.  This powder gives me great glowy skin without the shimmer.

Covergirl Super Thick Lash Mascara - I tried this on recommendation from Kristin Gehm and fell in love.  This a great mascara!  It gives me volume and a little bit of length.  Great for work days when I don't feel like going all out with my Armani mascara

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15 - Daria told m I needed this and she was right!  This stuff is great!  It is very similar to the Nars concealer just a little less creamy, but works the same. It helps counter act any dark circles I have since it has a salmon undertone.

Laura Mercier Lipgloss in Rose - To me this is the perfect lip!  It is kind of my lips but a whole lot better.  I have very pigmented lips so I love berryish shades.  And this is my favorite.  I keep it in my purse at all times.

Maybelline Lipgloss in Raspberry Ablaze - I did a post recently on my favorite fall lipglosses and this one has really stood at to me.  It has given me the perfect vampy look without making me look to pale!

What are your current favorites??
