Weekend Buys

This weekend I had some time to walk around the city and do a little shopping.  I am usually in a rush and just run in and out of a store but, I was able to actually browse a bit on Saturday.  I stopped at Sephora, Macy's, and Anthropologie.  

At Sephora I picked up two polishes, Dior Junon and Marc Jacobs Lola.  I have been lusting after these two for a little while now and finally they are mine.  In Macy's I picked up the Dolce & Gabana polish in Fire.  I was walking by the display and it was just calling my name.  I have been really into red nails lately.  And lastly I went into Anthropologie and found these Rifle Paper Co. notebooks and weekly schedule pad.  I almost ordered these online about a week or two ago but, I hate paying shipping.  I'm so glad to now have these in my possession.  And I finally got my Kate Spade card holder in the mail.  I have been looking for one in a fun color for a while now and stumbled upon this one during a sale!

Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon {Satsuma}

If you have never tried anything from Bite Beauty, well you need to.  They are an all natural lip care company thats mission is to create high performance lipstick.  I have tried many of their products and love them all.  Their shade range is amazing and they sell exclusively at Sephora.  If you like a bold lip you definitely need to check them out!  They recently released a Matte Creme Lip Crayon that has a delicious citrus scent.  There are six shades in all, which range from a mid tone pink to a bright purple with a nice red orange in the middle.  I picked up Satsuma; a nice bright, deep pink.  I have totally been into the matte lips lately and have been enjoying this immensely.  It is so pigmented and actually very moisturizing.  This lip pencil is made with citrus wax peel to keep your lips hydrated.  I see myself ordering one or two more in the near future along with a few other lipsticks for the spring time!

Compared to Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Villa Lante (LE) & L'oreal La Laque in Laquerized (LE) 

One other cool fact about Bite Beauty, they have a Lip Lab in NYC where you can make your own lip color.  I have not been yet but, it is on my list of places to go!

Sunday Funday !

So this past Sunday my friends and I went to brunch at Pranna.  We had a nice time drinking and dancing, but I won't be day drinking again! I had a massive headache later on in the day.  Too many Bellini's for me.



Now remember yesterday how I said I was disappointed in the Marc Jacobs concealer.  I truly am!  For $39 it just didn't do the job for me. It was way to sheer and not enough of the product was able to come out of the spout.  It also didn't last all day and made my mascara transfer.  I loved how sleek it looked, but tomorrow it will be returned to Sephora. 

Have you tried the Marc Jacobs concealer?  What are your thoughts?
