My Friday Five #5

Sephora Rose Mask - I tried this out and I am love with it.  My face felt extra hydrated afterwards.  I need to pick up more!

Herbal Essences Naked Dry Shampoo - I was in the market for a new dry shampoo and saw this one. It really helps me with day two hair.  It  gets rid of any grease and smells pretty good too.

MAC Definitley Defined - Unfortunately this was limited edition but, if it every comes around again you need to pick this up.  This is my go to highlighter.  I use it everyday.  It is a powder product but, it feels more like a cream.

Top Shop Macaroon Lipstick - I recently picked this up and I feel in love with it.  It is such a beautiful coral pink.

JinSoon Farrago - I never tired this brand before but, I saw this shade in Sephora and I knew I had to have it.  It is a gorgeous purple with some silver duo chrome.  It looks amazing on the nails.

What are your Friday Five ???

Crease Colors ft. Bobbi Brown Cement !

So I was recently scrolling through a beauty blog, unfortunately I can't remember whose.  But, I came across this Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in Cement and had to have it.  So, I went on the Bobbi Brown website and snatched one up.  It is very similar to a few other colors I have, but can one every have enough crease colors?  I love a good crease color, because for me they double as an eyebrow powder.  I am such a freak about crease colors.  When I am out and about and see an eye look gone wrong I feel the need to whip out a crease color and a MAC 217 and fix it.  But, that is just my weird OCD.  Anywho, this color is amazing.  So smooth and glides on the eyelids so well.  It really helps blend any eye look out and makes a great transition.  I really love Bobbi Brown eyeshadows.  I have tried a good amount of Bobbi Brown products and I have never been disappointed.

Oh Hey Fall ! {LIPSTICK CHRONICLES}

Fall is officially here!!!!! (imagine me singing that)  So, of course it's time to start wearing vampy lipsticks!  I love doing a neutral eye and a nice dark lip.  The boyfriend is not a big fan, but what does he know.. hahaha.  So, I went through my makeup arsenal and took out my top 10 vampy colors to show you all.

Revlon LipButter in Raspberry Pie ~ Milani in Uptown Mauve ~ Sephora in No. 46 ~ Covergirl in Smitten ~ MAC in Rebel
WnW in 908C Sugar Plum Fairy ~ Chanel in La Provacante ~ Wnw in 918D Cherry Bomb ~ Revlon in Wine Not ~ Maybelline in Midnight Plum

When wearing a dark lip make sure to use a lip liner.  I prefer one that is close to my natural lip color.  Using a lip liner will help prevent the lipstick from bleeding outside of the lips.  I also like to use dabbing or patting motions so I do not put to much color on at once.  And something else to keep in mind is to make sure you have freshly exfoliated lips, otherwise the lipstick won't lay correctly and cling to all the dry skin.

What are your favorite lipsticks for the fall??

Do You Use Shadow Sticks !!

So I don't know about you, but I love shadow sticks!  I love using them as bases or just on their own.  Many brands from high end to low end make them.  Some are great, some not so much.  Today I am brining you my high end shadow sticks.  I almost love each and everyone of them!  Most I use on their own, but a few I use as bases.

Laura Mercier Metallic Creme Eye Color in Platinum  - I love using this a base.  It technically is not a shadow stick, but it's a great creme shadow and has a nice consistency.  It is much lighter then the caviar sticks, but gives great pigmentation and longevity.  Platinum is a nice light color to use under a multitude of other colors.  It lasts at least 8 hours and hardly creases.

MAC Shadestick in Heirloom - MAC no longer makes shade sticks and I know why!  This is a beautiful color, but it is so hard to use.  The stick itself is very rough and stiff, not as creamy as it should be.  To get any color on the eye you have to play around a bit with it.  Definitely not worth it at all.

Chanel Stylo Eyeshadow in Moon River - Love this!  It has such a wonderful cooling effect on the eye.    It is on the more glittery side, but it is still amazing!  I love wearing this on its own.  I use a crease color and that's it!  It is so beautiful and lasts for a better part of the day.

Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Stick in Ample Amber - I heard ttsandra talk about this so much I had to try it.  This is great for blue and green eyes.  It makes them pop so much.  It gives a nice sheer wash of color that you can build up or use another shadow over top.  I personally like it by itself.

Sephora Jumbo Liner in Taupe - Now I must say this isn't my go to shadow stick.  It is a beautiful color.  If you don't know I am a taupe freak.  Any shadow with the word taupe in it needs to be mine.  The only reason I am not a big fan is because this creases a bit on me.  I tend to have oily eyelids.  I mean they aren't really oily, but compared to the rest of my face they definitely are.  I know a lot of people love these and they have tons of different colors!

Ellis Faas Creamy Eyes in 105 - Love!! I must get more!  I originally heard of these through Rachel from makeupneversleeps.  To be honest anything she suggests goes onto my need list and I have loved everything I have bought.  As the name states these are creamy, and I must say these are a creamy joy.  105 is a nice warm taupe/brown color.  I have used this by itself and also along with other shadows.  I am not the biggest fan of the applicator, but I tend to just use a synthetic brush to blend the shadow out.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Amethyst - This is my pride & joy.  If this was the only eyeshadow I could wear for the rest of my life I would be content with that.  This shadow is just amazballs.  Why I don't own more of these I am not sure.  The consistency is wonderful.  It is more on the thicker side but can be sheered out with your finger or brush.  I like to use my fingers.  I also love to pair this with Mulberry eyeshadow from Burberry, and if I want something more dramatic I add some Chanel Taupe Grise to the crease.

What are your favorite shadow sticks?

Also I have a lot of my new pieces up on my Etsy shop.  More will be going up soon!!

Take a Good Look in the EYE !

If you are a makeup junkie like myself then you too probably have a crap ton of brushes.  I have way too many, but I tend to gravitate towards certain ones.  They are my tried and true.  They always make my eye makeup look the best.  And I truly believe you all need these in your life.

MAC 213 & MAC 239 & Royal & Langnickel BC411 - These are both GREAT eye shader brushes! I use these for all over color.  And you can even use the 213 for some crease work.  If you are just starting off the R&L is definitely a cheaper version of the MAC ones.  It works just as well and to be honest I use it more because the brush is larger and covers more eyelid area.

MAC 217 & Bdellium Tools 776 - I could not live life without a blending brush.  I actually have two Mac 217's.  They are the most amazing thing ever!  I think that you cant leave home without blending your crease.  The Bdellium Tools brush is almost an exact dupe for the MAC one.  I picked it up at IMATS and have been loving it ever since.  I love having an extra blending brush around to just buff out your shadows.  They always come in handy.

Chanel #19 & Bdellium Tools 781 - I love these both for precision crease work.  I also love them for pop coloring on the outer corner of my eye.  They place color exactly where you need.  I also use the Bdellium Tools brush to darken my crease and make it more exact.

Royal & Langnickel BC430 & Sonia Kashuk 109 - These brushes are amazing!  I love using them to blend out my crease color or to pop on my highlight color.  The R&L brush is really amazing for crease work.  It is tapered so nicely and can really work into and blend out your crease color.  Have you noticed that I love blending brushes?  I have an obsession with crease work.

MAC 219 - This is great for depositing color under the eye.  I love a smoked out look and use this everyday.  It has stayed nice and stiff through out many washes.  Which is great because my Sigma ones have become way to fluffed out.

Sorry for showing dirty brushes, but I am a bad girl and do not wash them too often.

What are your favorite brushes?  I would love to know and check them out!

Yesterday was my first day back to school.  Womp Womp.  I am not exactly the biggest school enthusiast.  I think college is necessary, but not for all.  I will one day have my bachelors.  When that day will be I am not sure.  Anyone want to go to school for me! Ha!

Anywho I am working on some great new pieces for my etsy shop and wanted to share.

They will be in the shop soon! And I can't wait to show you all of them! So stay tuned!

P.S.  - These are all my eye brushes!

Coral Crush {LIPSTICK CHRONICLES}

A few posts back I shared with you my favorite nude lipsticks from the drugstore.  I decided that I want to make it into a monthly post.  So this month I am featuring my favorite high end coral lipsticks.  If you know me then you know that I love coral!  I love bright lips.  I am definitely not afraid of wearing color.

Dior Candide - Givenchy Croisiere Coral - MAC Viva Glam Nicki

Lime Crime Geraduim - Chanel Enjouee -   Tom Ford True Coral

Dior - Givenchy - MAC - Lime Crime - Chanel - Tom Ford

Dior - Givenchy - MAC

Lime Crime - Chanel - Tom Ford

Each and every one of these lipsticks are extra creamy  and very pigmented!  I love the lasting power the finish and stain they leave behind.  They are all different from each other and that's why I love each one of them.  They each give a different intensity.  When I am not feeling such a bold lip I go for Dior Candide.  It gives me the coral I am craving, but it doesn't attract attention from others.  When I am in a feisty mood I go more for Chanel Enjouee or Tom Ford True Coral.  They definitely attract attention.  But my go to lately has been Givenchy Croisiere Coral.  The packaging is just gorgeous and it gives me  more of a satin finish.  It is certainly less creamy then the others, which I have been loving.  But truly they are all amazing!

If you like bright lips like me what are your favorites?? And please let me know if this monthly post is something you would like to see!
