I am Such a Flake ...

Remember how I said I was going to a Marie Claire event yesterday.  Well that never happened.  And I do have a reason why.  It is too damn HOT!  I live in New York and we are having a heat wave!  It is ridonkulous.  It was 100 degrees out today and with the humidity it was more like 120.  It was too hot to even think about looking cute and nice at this event after riding the subway.  Was not happening.  Instead I met Daria for a night at Applebee's.  

I still looked cute so I took a picture!  

Yesterday I realized I tend to flake out on plans a whole lot lately.  I mean nothing to serious, but me and Daria will make plans and then end up just staying home instead.  And to be honest I think it's because I am such a homebody and I also hate going home on the train(late at night) by myself.  And I also I am in a relationship.  I can remember being single and always going out to everything I was invited to.  Now I am like who do I need to impress.  Do you ever feel like that?  If you are in a relationship do you go out as much as before or do you feel like what is the point?   I guess it is a bad thing, but sometimes I really do not care.  I would rather be cuddled up on the couch than out at the club.  And it is not that I do not want to be out with my friends, but if I can spend quality time with my boyfriend (who I only see once a week) I am sure going to take it.  So please tell me if I am the only one. 

This is my current nail combo at the moment.  Essie "Topless & Barefoot" and a no name neon yellow.    I love love love love this combo!! What are your favorites??

Today is Friday!! Wooo hooo!!  I have work tomorrow, but it is only 4 hours so I can get through it.  Have a great weekend everyone!

Sorry, I am not Sorry...

Well hello there!  My name is Gina.  I am a 22 year old girly girl who lives in NYC.  And let me tell you there is no where else I'd rather live!  So I am giving this a try once again!  I previously had another blog, but I felt the need to start fresh.  Of course, I already have 500 business cards with the former blog url on it.  Thank god for Vista Print and their cheap prices. 

Anywho,  time for some random thoughts. I don't know if you are the same way, today I was on Instagram (I am addicted) scrolling through my feed and I came to the conclusion I follow too many people I don't like.  I follow close to 1000 profiles.  Which in my opinion is a little crazy.  I tend to just follow people for no reason whatsoever.  There are those photos I just scroll by and wonder why? Just why?  

I feel like it is so much easier to unfollow someone on Instagram then it is on Facebook.  On Facebook if you unfriend someone it is very easy for the other person to find out.  They can just click on your profile and boom! it says Request Friend.  I have seen that a few times and was like well thanks I feel the same way about you too.  But it happens.  At least on Instagram if you unfollow someone they only find out if they have a special app.  And girl I have that app.  Most of the time I really don't use it, but once and a while I do check!  

On another note I have repurchased my "holy grail" skincare item and let me tell you, if it did not work wonders I would no way on hell pay as much as I did for it. 

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum is probably the best serum or skincare product I have ever used!  I have dry skin and very red cheeks.  This have totally helped my skin retain moisture and has gotten rid of a large amount of my redness.  I could not see myself every being without this.  

Another purchase this week were a pair of Target sandals I have been lusting over!  And I was one lucky girl.  They only had 1 pair left in my size(usually a 9.5, but I can fit a 9 sometimes) and they were on clearance.  The Target gods were watching out for me.  

Now I am not one for foot pics, but I couldn't help myself.
